Sipo Acorn Jelly

In Luonan County, Sipo's acorn jelly has a long history. The Nanshan Mountain in Sipo Township is rich in oak trees. People pick the ripe acorns, remove the shells, dry them in the sun, and then beat them into starch. The starch is then used to make jelly. Every kilogram of acorns can make 2 kilograms of jelly. The production process of acorn jelly is relatively complicated, especially the requirements for water are very strict. The people of Sipuo mostly use unpolluted spring water flowing from the local Nanshan Mountain. The jelly tastes smooth, chewy and very delicious.

Luoyuan Dried Tofu

Luoyuan Town, located at the source of the Luo River in the hinterland of the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains, produces a famous local specialty throughout history - Luoyuan dried tofu. It had been famous as early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties hundreds of years ago. It was once used as a tribute by the Qing emperor and was sold all over the country by merchants at that time. When the Red Army was in Luonan, the people of Luoyuan used dried tofu to support the Red Army in the battle.

Luonan walnut

Luonan County is known as the "Hometown of Walnuts" and the history of walnut cultivation has exceeded 2,000 years. Luonan walnuts are large, full-kerneled, thin-skinned and high-quality. They have won commendations and awards from the state, ministry, provincial and other relevant departments for many consecutive times. Luonan walnut kernels have high medical value and obvious health-care effects. It has the effects of "replenishing qi and blood, nourishing the kidneys and consolidating essence, warming the lungs and moistening the intestines, nourishing the brain and prolonging life, unblocking blood vessels, promoting hair growth and nourishing the skin". Long-term consumption can promote development, improve brain function, enhance memory, and improve immunity, and has a clear anti-cancer effect.

Luoyuan Dried Tofu

Luoyuan dried tofu has been famous as early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties hundreds of years ago. It was once regarded as a tribute by the Qing emperor and was sold all over the country by merchants at that time. When the Red Army was in Luonan, the people of Luoyuan used dried tofu to support the Red Army in the battle. Luoyuan dried tofu is slightly brown in color, one inch square, as thin as two chopsticks, strung together with green vines, and sold in a string for fifty pieces. When eating, just cut it into thin slices with a knife, add a few drops of soy sauce and vinegar, and then eat it with wine. Its characteristics are: fragrant, salty, soft and tasty, if mixed with mashed garlic, mustard, green onion, sesame oil and other condiments.
