How to cook pumpkin

Clear-boiled pumpkin is actually the most common way to eat pumpkin, because pumpkin has the function of strengthening the spleen and stomach, replenishing the vital energy. Although it is a common way of eating, it is beneficial to health. You can also make seaweed pumpkin soup or sweet and sour pumpkin balls. There are many ways to cook it.

Method 1:

Material

100 grams of lean beef, 300 grams of pumpkin, and appropriate amounts of ginger, onion, salt and MSG.

1. Wash the beef with warm water and cut into 2 cm long and 1.5 cm wide pieces; wash the pumpkin, remove the stem, pulp and seeds and cut into 3 cm long and 1.5 cm thick pieces; wash and slice the ginger and cut the green onion into sections.

2. Put the beef cubes in the pot, add ginger slices, scallion segments, salt, and water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until 70% cooked. Add the pumpkin cubes and continue simmering over low heat until the beef is tender. Add MSG for seasoning and serve.

Method 2:

. Sweet and Sour Pumpkin Meatballs

500 grams each of pumpkin and flour, appropriate amounts of salt, sugar, vinegar, starch and vegetable oil. Peel and remove the pumpkin flesh, wash and cut into pieces, steam it until cooked, take it out, drain the water, add flour, sugar and salt, and knead it into dough; put oil in a pot and heat it to 70% hot, squeeze the pumpkin into small round balls, fry them in the oil until golden brown, then take them out; put base oil in the pot, pour in 100 ml of water, add sugar and a little salt to thicken, drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar, pour in the balls and mix well. This dish has the effect of nourishing the middle and replenishing Qi, warming the middle and stopping diarrhea. It is suitable for symptoms such as diarrhea and fatigue caused by weak spleen and stomach.

Method 3

. Seaweed Pumpkin Soup

100 grams of old pumpkin, 20 grams of seaweed, 20 grams of dried shrimps, 1 egg, and appropriate amounts of soy sauce, lard, rice wine vinegar, MSG, and sesame oil. First soak the seaweed in water and wash it, beat the eggs into a bowl and mix well, soak the dried shrimp in rice wine, peel and remove the pumpkin, wash and cut into pieces; then put the pot on the fire, pour in lard, after heating, add soy sauce to the pot, add appropriate amount of water, put in the dried shrimp and pumpkin pieces, cook for about 30 minutes, then put in the seaweed, after 10 minutes, pour the beaten egg liquid into the pot, add seasonings and mix well. This soup has the effect of protecting the liver and nourishing the kidneys, and is suitable for patients with liver and kidney dysfunction.
