How to make Christmas chiffon log cake

1. Let the cake eggs cool down at room temperature. Beat egg yolks and sugar with a whisk until fluffy and white.

2.1 Sift cake flour and cocoa powder, add into the batter and stir until no powder particles are visible. This is the chocolate batter.

3.2 Pour salad oil into the cake and stir, then add warm milk and continue stirring.

When done, pour the batter into an ungreased chiffon pan, then lift it up and tap lightly on the table to make the large bubbles inside disappear.

7.Put the cake in the preheated oven and bake at 170℃ for 40 minutes. After completion, lift the cake with the mold about 20 cm off the table and drop it 2-3 times, then turn it upside down for 1 hour to cool.

8. Use a demoulding knife to run along the inner, outer edges and bottom of the cake to remove it smoothly.

9. Chocolate Buttercream Frosting: Let the unsalted butter soften at room temperature, melt the chocolate over hot water, mix the two together and let it cool slightly.

10. Pour the fresh cream and sugar into the chocolate buttercream and beat with a whisk until it becomes a frosty texture.

11. Use a spatula to evenly spread the chocolate cream on the chiffon cake.

12. Use a serrated scraper to cut out the shape of the tree trunk according to your preference.

13.Finally, stick chocolate chips on the bottom of the cake and put the most important Santa Claus on it.
