How to cook stir-fried lettuce?

Lettuce is a vegetable that is extremely rich in fiber, and it tastes very crisp when eaten raw. Because lettuce is easy to cook, you must pay attention to the time during the frying process. Do not fry it for too long, otherwise the lettuce will taste bitter, affecting the taste and texture.

Lettuce, also known as leaf lettuce, goose lettuce, and lettuce, belongs to the genus Lactuca in the Asteraceae family. It is an annual or biennial herbaceous crop. Most of the lettuces nowadays are genetically modified foods cultivated in Europe and the United States. Lettuce is native to the Mediterranean coast of Europe and was domesticated from wild species. It was first eaten by the ancient Greeks and Romans. Lettuce has a long history of being introduced into my country. It is widely cultivated in the southeast coast, especially in the suburbs of large cities and in Guangdong and Guangxi regions, and is particularly common in Taiwan. In recent years, the cultivated area has expanded rapidly, and lettuce has also entered the tables of ordinary people from hotels and restaurants.

The steps for stir-frying lettuce are as follows:

1. Cut off the roots of the lettuce, break off the leaves one by one, and rinse them with water;

2. Tear the lettuce into small pieces by hand and set aside. It is best not to cut it with a knife to avoid destroying vitamin C.

3. Pour a proper amount of oil into the pot and heat it to 70% hot;

4. Add lettuce and stir-fry, adding a little water in the middle;

5. When the color of the lettuce starts to turn emerald green, add an appropriate amount of oyster sauce, and then continue to stir-fry until the oyster sauce is evenly mixed;

6. After the lettuce is fully cooked, add appropriate amount of MSG before serving.
