You must control the amount of sweets you eat during the confinement period, otherwise the sugar in your body will increase and cannot be converted into calories for consumption, so it will only be stored in the body as fat. In addition, you should pay attention to oral hygiene, otherwise it would be bad if you get cavities after the confinement period.

What are the disadvantages of eating sweets frequently after childbirth?

1. Postpartum obesity. Eating sweets frequently can easily cause mothers to suffer from postpartum obesity, which is difficult to lose weight.

2. Interfere with sleep. Eating sweets will put the brain in an excited state, which is not conducive to the mother's sleep and rest.

3. Low immunity. Eating sweets will reduce the ability of white blood cells in the blood to phagocytize germs and reduce immunity.

4. Suffering from chronic diseases. Eating sweets can easily increase blood lipids, blood pressure and blood sugar in the body, causing mothers to suffer from various chronic diseases caused by the three highs.

After giving birth, it usually takes about a month to adjust, which is also called confinement. During this period, you should pay attention to living conditions, maintain healthy living habits and a healthy diet. If you eat junk food and sweets every day, it will easily cause changes in blood pressure and make you more likely to have symptoms of abnormal physiological metabolic imbalance. Therefore, parents should pay more attention to it.

Take breaks and move around

Rest is the top priority during confinement. You must rest at home after giving birth. A woman who has just given birth will be very tired, so she must rest in bed within 24 hours after giving birth. On the second day, you can move around the bed and the room as appropriate, such as going to the bathroom, washing, eating, and feeding.

Increase the amount of activity day by day. The ideal rhythm is for the new mother to be in sync with the baby. The mother sleeps when the child sleeps. This way, the mother can get enough rest and can breastfeed the baby on demand. But avoid standing or sitting for long periods of time to prevent waist pain, back pain, leg pain, and pain in the knees and ankles.

Pay attention to the recovery of the uterus

After delivery, you should pay attention to the recovery of the uterus, that is, observe the lochia. Normally, the color of lochia will change from red to white, the amount will decrease from large to small, and the smell will change from bloody to odorless. It should usually be discharged after one month. If the lochia is not clear or appears abnormal, you should see a doctor immediately. In addition, remember to go to the hospital for a postpartum check-up 6-8 weeks after delivery.

Due to physiological changes, women after childbirth are more mentally fragile, and coupled with increased stress, they are likely to suffer from postpartum depression. Therefore, a happy atmosphere must be maintained at home.
