How to make homemade naan

How to make homemade naan

Many modern people spend their days in a hurry, have irregular meals and almost always eat out. So below I will first introduce the method of making homemade baked naan.

1.121 Knead into a uniform and smooth dough. (No need to knead it like bread dough)

2.212 After the eggs and water are mixed evenly, add the yeast to melt (the liquid temperature is lower in winter, it is recommended to slightly heat the liquid to 30 degrees before melting the yeast to activate the activity to avoid fermentation difficulties) and mix the vegetable oil with the above liquid evenly. Mix with flour, sugar and salt

3. Cover the container with plastic wrap (to keep it moist) and place in a warm place to ferment for about 1 hour. Up to 2 times larger

4. After fermentation is complete, the dough will not bounce when poked by hand

5. After fermentation, divide the dough into 2 portions (250g each), roll it into a round shape, and relax for 10 minutes (no need to roll it into a round shape like making bread)

6. Use a rolling pin or your hands to press the dough into a thin pancake with a thick edge.

7. Use your palm to press out a thick edge of the pancake, and at the same time pull or flatten the middle to make a uniform pancake.

8. Brush (or spray) water on the surface of the dough. (Note: This step should be done last, then dip in sesame seeds. However, according to the previous operation, brushing water at the end will make the dough sticky, which will make the holes dense and cause the dough to bulge. So do this action before poking the holes.)

9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, pepper, salt and other seasonings. Let sit for 10-15 minutes

10. After the dough is slightly dried, poke patterns evenly on the dough. Before putting the pattern into the oven, make sure it is poked through, otherwise the cake will bulge in the oven.

11. Sprinkle flour on a wooden spatula and carefully transfer the dough to a pizza spatula. (The dough is thin and soft, so be careful)

12. The oven and stone slab must be preheated to 220 degrees C in advance (it will take more than half an hour for the stone slab to be hot enough in cold weather). After putting them into the oven, turn it to 200 degrees and bake. The cake will expand and swell quickly. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

After reading the specific method of making this homemade baked naan introduced by the editor above, have you learned it? If you are interested, hurry into the kitchen and try it out. You will definitely gain new insights!
