How to make fresh milk double-color steamed buns

1.1 Roll the proofed dough into two flat sheets of equal size on the chopping board. Don’t make them too thin, 5-10 mm thick is fine. Let rise again for 15 minutes

2.2 Divide the flour into two equal parts, add white sugar to one part and add the same amount of chocolate powder as the white sugar to the other part. Add appropriate amounts of milk, baking powder, and quick-fermentation powder. Knead them into smooth dough of equal size and place them in a warm place to rise until they are twice as large.

3. Stack two dough sheets of the same size on top of each other and roll them up from the wide side. Make sure to roll them tightly.

4. Then use a knife to cut into steamed buns with a width of 3 cm, and finally let it rise for 20 minutes.

5. Put cold water in the steamer, put the steamed bun dough into the steamer and cover it tightly. Turn on high heat on the stove. After the water boils, cook on high heat for 8 minutes, then turn to medium heat for 2 minutes, then turn to the lowest heat for 2 minutes, and remove from heat for 2 minutes. Although it seems troublesome to turn it around like this, the steamed buns made in this way will be very soft and will not shrink when the pot is opened.
