How to make scallion meat pie

Scallion meat patties are a common northern snack sold at street stalls, mainly because they taste quite fragrant and many people passing by will be attracted by them. To make food like scallion meat pie, we need to prepare flour, pork, scallions and other ingredients, and then knead the dough and chop the stuffing.

Ingredients:

Ingredients: 200g flour, 150g pork;

Accessories: vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon;

Salt, 1/2 teaspoon;

Chives, 1 bunch;

Ginger, 1 small piece;

Oyster sauce, 1/2 teaspoon;

White pepper, 1/4 teaspoon;

sesame oil, 1/4 tsp;

Light soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon;

Cornstarch, 1 tsp;

Boiling water, about 100 ml.

Onion meat pie recipe:

1. Weigh the flour and add a little salt;

2. Add boiling water and stir with chopsticks until all the flour becomes small particles;

3. Put some cold water on your hands and knead the dough into a smooth dough, then cover it with plastic wrap and let the dough relax for about 20 minutes;

4. Mince the pork and add chopped green onion and minced ginger. Add appropriate amount of oyster sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, pepper and cornstarch and mix well for later use;

5. Knead the dough again, roll it into a thin rectangular skin with a rolling pin, and cut it into strips about 6 cm wide with a knife;

6. Place the meat filling on the strips, leaving a little space on the edges;

7. Roll up from one end and pinch both ends tightly after rolling;

8. Stand it up again and press it into a pancake shape with your hands;

9. Heat a non-stick pan, add a little oil, and fry the pancakes on low heat. While frying, you can shake the pan handle to ensure that the pancakes are heated and colored evenly.

10. Fry one side until golden brown, then fry the other side. Fry the pancake until both sides are golden brown.

Cooking Tips

1. I made 6 meat patties with this recipe. Meat patties are delicious only when they are made and eaten immediately, so don’t make too much at one time;

2. If you are worried that it is not cooked through, you can spray a little water on the bottom of the pot halfway through the process, then cover it with a lid and simmer it for a while, then open the lid and fry the skin until it is crispy.
