How to make chestnuts in syrup

If you often go to restaurants for convenience and end up having gastrointestinal problems or diseases, it is not worth it. For the sake of our health, we'd better learn how to make some home-cooked dishes and cook them at home. The method of making candied chestnuts in water is simple and most people can learn it quickly.

1. Wash the chestnuts, then use a knife to cut a cross on the back of the chestnut. For easier peeling.

2. Boil water in the induction cooker, put a rack on it, put the chestnuts in a container, then cover it with a lid and steam it for 15 minutes. (Don’t boil it in water, the sweetness and nutritional value will be boiled away)

3. Wait until the cross on the back of the chestnut stands up, turn off the induction cooker, and let it cool for a while before you start peeling the chestnuts. (But don’t let it get too cold, or it will be hard to peel)

4. Peel the chestnuts and set aside.

5. Rinse the peeled chestnuts with clean water to wash away the fur remaining when peeling the chestnuts.

6. Then use an electric rice cooker to stew it in water. This way the soup will be clearer and the chestnuts will not become mushy. Add appropriate amount of water and rock sugar according to personal taste.

7. It can be served after half an hour!
