How to make melon rind pork pot stickers

Everyone knows that diet is particularly important for health. If you want to be healthy, you should pay more attention to your diet on weekdays. It is best to cook at home. In fact, many home-cooked dishes are not only delicious but also easy to make. For example, the method of melon rind pork pot stickers is not difficult. You just need to put in a little effort and spend some time.

1. Mix the flour with warm water and knead it into a uniform dough, the hardness of which should be the same as that of the dough for making dumplings. Cover with film and let it rest for 20 minutes.

2. Take 2 pieces of thicker watermelon rinds, clean the red flesh inside, peel off the green hard skin outside, wash and set aside.

3. As shown in the picture: cut the watermelon rind into thin slices first, then cut into shreds.

4. Put the cut watermelon rind in a container, add 1 teaspoon of salt, mix well, and marinate for 5-8 minutes.

5. Chop the ginger and mix it directly with the pork into minced meat. Chop the green onion and put it together with the pork minced meat.

6. Squeeze out as much water as possible from the pickled watermelon rind and set aside.

7. Put 15g tablespoon of vegetable oil in the watermelon rind, stir evenly, then put the meat filling in it, add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of thirteen spices, and sprinkle some chopped carrots.

8. Add 15g of vegetable oil and stir into a uniform filling for later use.

9. As shown in the picture: roll the relaxed dough into thin strips with a diameter of about 1.5 cm, pinch off small pieces of about 2 cm, place them vertically on a chopping board sprinkled with dry flour, flatten them, and they will become dough pieces before rolling.

10. As shown in the picture: roll it into a thin skin, put the filling in the middle, pinch both sides, and leave the two ends unpinched to make a pot sticker.

11. Put 20g of oil in a frying pan, spread it evenly, heat it over low heat, and place the pot stickers one by one on the bottom of the pan.

12. After the bottom of the pot stickers changes color, pour flour water along the edge of the pot, and the flour water should cover the pot stickers.

13. Cover the pot and continue heating on low heat. Be sure to move the pan during the process so that the bottom of the pot is heated as evenly as possible. Cook until the water in the pot dries up and turns golden brown, then turn off the heat.

14. Take a large plate and place it on the fried pot stickers. Press the plate lightly and turn the pan over. The pot stickers will fall intact into the plate.

15. The golden green base, the crispness of the watermelon rind, and the freshness and fragrance of the pork are really delicious.
