1) Use a weighing scale to weigh the amount of bird's nest. The best amount of bird's nest for adults to eat each time is 3-5 grams. Don't eat more. Generally, it is appropriate to eat it twice a week.

2) Soak the dried bird's nest in pure water for 4-8 hours, place it in a naturally ventilated place, and pay attention to the degree of expansion of the bird's nest.

4) After picking the hair, filter and wash it once or twice with pure water.

5) After cleaning, carefully tear the bird's nest into thin strips according to the texture, and crush the bird's head as finely as possible with your fingers.

6) Pour the processed bird's nest into a stewing pot and add pure water to soak the bird's nest. It is best to add 1CM of water to cover the bird's nest.

7) Cover the pot and place it in a steamer. Simmer over low heat for 2 hours. It is done when there is a small amount of foam on the surface, a slight boiling sensation, a sticky feeling and an egg white aroma.

8) While stewing, dissolve the rock sugar into rock sugar water. Add it into the bird’s nest after taking it out of the pot and mix well.

Papaya stewed with bird's nest

Ingredients: 1/4~1/2 fresh ripe papaya (depending on the size), 30~50 grams of bird's nest, 50 grams of rock sugar.

Wash the papaya skin, cut it open with a knife, remove the core, scoop out the papaya flesh with a spoon and set aside. Soak the bird's nest in clean water, pour out the water after about 30 minutes, add clean water again to soak the bird's nest for one and a half hours, then take out the bird's nest and put it into the stewing pot together with the papaya flesh. At the same time, use the water used for the second soaking of the bird's nest to dissolve the rock sugar. Pour it into the stewing pot containing the bird's nest and papaya flesh while it is still hot. Cover it, stew it in water for two hours, and drink it after it is warm.
