How to cook Dongpo beef

There are actually many things to pay attention to when it comes to making a good dish. Of course, cooking is not as difficult as everyone imagines. Everything is difficult at the beginning. First prepare the ingredients and seasonings, and then start cooking Dongpo beef.

1.1 Wash, peel and cut carrots and white radish into small pieces; cut green onions into sections; slice ginger

2.2 Let's process the beef first. Soak the beef brisket in cold water for a while, rinse it after removing the blood, and then blanch it to remove the blood foam. Take a soup pot, add an appropriate amount of water, boil it, and put in the blanched beef brisket. Stew the beef brisket in the water pot for about an hour. No seasoning is needed. Just stew it like this.

3. After stewing the beef brisket for an hour, turn off the heat, take a wok, pour in a proper amount of oil, heat it up, add the chili segments, then add the tomato sauce, pork rib sauce, and chili sauce and stir-fry. Add one spoonful of each of the three sauces. The specific amount should be adjusted according to your taste. Then add the clear soup from cooking the beef just now and bring to a boil.

4. Then add onion, ginger, garlic, bay leaves, star anise, salt, and sugar, stir well, then add beef brisket, carrot cubes, and white radish cubes, continue to stir well, wait for the soup to boil, then turn to low heat and simmer until all the ingredients are soft and tasty, that is, wait until the soup is almost dry.
