1. Yam porridge

Peel the yam, cut it into small cubes and cook it together with the washed rice. You can also add oatmeal, beans, etc., which are delicious and healthy.

2. Pork Ribs and Yam

Chop the ribs into one-inch long pieces and peel the yam and cut it into dice. When the scallions and ginger are sautéed, add the pork ribs and stir-fry until they change color. Then add the yam pieces, cooking wine and soup and simmer until cooked. Don't put too much soy sauce in this dish.

3. Stir-fried shrimp balls with yam and lettuce

Peel the yam and lettuce and cut them into parallelogram-shaped slices. Cut the outside of the shrimp and remove the sand line. Put the yam slices and lettuce slices in boiling water and blanch them (be careful not to blanch them for too long, otherwise they will not be crispy). Then put the shrimps in the pot and blanch them briefly. Heat up a pan with oil, sauté scallions, ginger and garlic, add yam, lettuce slices and shrimp balls and stir-fry. Adjust the taste, drizzle a few drops of sesame oil and serve.

4. Stewed Beef Brisket with Yam

Wash and peel the yam, cut into pieces. Cut the beef brisket into small pieces and blanch them in water to remove the foam. Put oil in the pot, fry the star anise first, then stir-fry the onion and ginger, add cooking wine and water, add the beef brisket, stir-fry, put it in the pressure cooker and cook for 20 minutes. Put oil in the pot, pour in the beef brisket, then add yam, sugar, chopped chili, MSG, salt and chicken essence for seasoning, and stew until soft and tasty.

5. Rock sugar yam

Recipe: 0.75 kg of yam, 3/4 bowl of rock sugar, 5-6 bowls of water. Preparation method: Peel the yam and cut into cubes, add rock sugar and water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until soft (about 40 minutes) and serve. Features: Yam is soft, tender and sweet, and has the effects of strengthening the spleen, removing dampness, benefiting the lungs and kidneys, and replenishing essence and qi.
