How to make delicious beef jerky?

Beef jerky is a favorite snack of many friends because it is rich in protein and very little fat, so you don’t have to worry about gaining weight if you eat more. It is not difficult to make good beef jerky, but it does require strong hands-on skills because the steps are relatively complicated and need to be completed carefully.

Production steps

1. Slice the beef and decide the thickness yourself. It will take longer to fry the slices and is difficult to control. Break the dried red pepper into small pieces, slice the scallion, and cut the ginger into slices. Take a small bowl and pour in light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, salt and sugar to make juice. (Dark soy sauce: light soy sauce: cooking wine 3:2:3).

2. Pour the cut beef slices into a bowl and soak them in clean water for an hour to fully remove the blood and fishy smell of the meat. After soaking, pour out the blood and squeeze out the water from the beef slices. I do it with my hands. After squeezing dry, add chopped onions and ginger, cooking wine, a small amount of salt and marinate for 30 minutes.

3. Pour oil into the pan, add chili and peppercorns when it is 50% hot and stir-fry until fragrant. Turn to low heat and add the marinated beef slices and stir-fry. A lot of water will come out during the frying process, and this water needs to be poured out. Continue to stir-fry over low heat until all the moisture is dried up. This step is critical!

4. After the beef slices are fried dry, pour the prepared sauce into the pot and continue to stir-fry until there is no soup. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, and add some cumin if you like. Snacks to go with wine. Can be eaten as a snack. The dried red peppers at home are very spicy, so if you add some more peppers, it can be called spicy beef jerky.
