How to Make Tomato Sauce at Home

1. Peel and wash the tomatoes. To peel the tomato, first use a knife to cut a circle on the surface of the tomato (just cut the skin), blanch it in hot water for a few minutes, then take out the tomato and put it in cold water. After the temperature drops, you can easily tear off the tomato skin.

2. Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and set aside. Put a small amount of oil in the pan, turn on low heat, and when the oil is hot, add the tomatoes and stir-fry. During this period, you can add a little water to cook the diced tomatoes, crush the diced tomatoes, and then add sugar and a little salt according to your taste. If the tomatoes are not sour and sweet enough, you can add a little aged vinegar. Of course, this will cover up some of the taste of the tomatoes themselves. The method of thickening with starch and water makes the ketchup thick and rich.

3. You can eat it right after removing it from the heat. Of course, there is no preservative in tomato sauce, so it cannot be stored for too long, so you have to eat it as soon as possible.

3. When taking jam from the bottle, use a clean, water-free spoon. It is best to take as much as you want and tighten the bottle cap after taking it out. 4. Homemade ketchup can be stored in the refrigerator for 7 days.
