How to grill fish

Squid is a seafood with relatively high nutritional value. You can often see grilled squid at some roadside stalls. It tastes very delicious and the method is relatively simple. You can also make it at home. It is healthier and more hygienic to eat. You need to prepare an appropriate amount of barbecue sauce, oyster sauce and cooking wine, and then you can start making it. During the grilling process, marinating is more important, so you must marinate it for a while before making it.

Ingredients for grilled squid : 750g squid; Accessories: 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce, 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon cooking wine, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon cumin powder, 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds

1. Prepare Materials

2. Clean the squid, cut it into pieces, drain the water, add minced ginger, garlic and cooking wine and mix well

3. Mix the barbecued pork sauce and oyster sauce.

4. Marinate the squid for 2-3 hours

5. When marinating the squid, soak the bamboo sticks in clean water.

6. Put the marinated squid pieces on bamboo sticks

7. Bake in the middle layer of a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 8 minutes

8. Remove the baking tray, brush the remaining marinade on the surface of the squid, and bake in the oven for 5 minutes. Take out the baking tray and apply marinade on the squid again. Repeat this process 2 more times.

9. Finally, sprinkle with cumin powder and white sesame seeds, and bake in the oven for about 5 minutes. The total baking time is 20 minutes.

Cooking tips 1. During the grilling process, brushing the squid with marinade several times will make it more fragrant. 1. Cumin powder can enhance the flavor and remove the fishy smell. You can add chili powder, cumin seeds, etc. according to your preference. 2. The combination of barbecue sauce and oyster sauce has both sweetness and umami flavor. This combination tastes great when used to grill meat such as pork belly. 3. The bamboo sticks are soaked in water to prevent them from being easily burnt when grilled.
