How to make five-spice bean paste

Five-spice bean paste is a specialty food in Henan Province. It originated in Anyang, Henan Province. Now this snack can be found in many places, especially at breakfast. It tastes delicious. The method of making five-spice bean paste is also relatively simple. Prepare appropriate amounts of millet, vermicelli, green vegetables and carrots, and appropriate amounts of soybeans, peanuts and other ingredients, and you can make it. It is a food with relatively high nutritional value and rich in high-quality protein.

How to make five-spice bean paste

Ingredients : 100g millet, 100g carrots, 10g vermicelli, 100g green vegetables. Auxiliary ingredients: peanuts, soybeans, 3g salt, 1g five-spice powder.

1. In order to prepare it quickly in the morning, I pre-cooked peanuts and soybeans in the rice cooker at night. If you are making it for dinner, you can cook these in the afternoon.

2. Soak the millet in water. Generally, it takes about 3 hours to soak.

3. In the morning, add appropriate amount of water and five-spice powder to the soaked millet and grind it into rice paste using a wall-breaking machine. I added five-spice powder to save trouble. It is better to grind the millet with fried star anise and pepper.

4. Add water and salt to the pot, put the vermicelli and carrot shreds in and boil.

5. Pour the ground rice paste into the pot and cook. I cut the green amaranth into small pieces, but forgot to take a photo. I added some amaranth later.

6. When the soup is cooked, wash the vegetables and add them

7. Cook for half a minute

8. Finally, add appropriate amount of cooked peanuts and soybeans

9. Add some sesame paste when eating.

Cooking Tips

You can add green vegetables according to your preference, such as spinach, Chinese cabbage, etc.

Bean foam is actually made by grinding millet into slurry. The reason why it is called bean foam is because cooked soybeans and peanuts are added to it. Some seasonal vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, etc., should also be added to the bean paste.
