How to make lotus-flavored steamed pork

1. Prepare the ingredients. Add a little oil to the pan, add the bean paste and Pixian chili sauce and fry them briefly, set aside. Cut the pork belly into large slices no thicker than 5mm

2. Add 2 teaspoons of dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of cooking wine and the fried sauce to the meat, mix well and marinate for 20 minutes. Wash the lotus leaves and cut them into several pieces

3. Pour the rice into the pot (do not wash the rice), add chili and star anise and stir-fry over medium heat until the rice turns yellow. After cooling, pick out the chili peppers and star anise and add them to the meat. Add the rice into a food processor and blend it into a coarse powder (just blend for a few seconds). Add to marinated meat and mix well

4. Place a few slices of potatoes in a small steamer first, then put the meat on top. Add enough water to the steamer, put in a small steamer, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat and steam for 90 minutes.
