How to make wonton meat filling

The wonton skin is thin and tender, and its exquisite small size has an extraordinary taste. Take one bite at a time, and it slides down your throat into the esophagus, allowing every cell in your body to enjoy it. Wonton, also known as wonton in some places, is eaten by all Chinese people. Today we will introduce to you how to make meat wontons, from the preparation of the meat filling to the preparation of the wonton soup base. Each step is explained in great detail, and two additional wrapping methods are provided, and you can choose either one.

Ingredients: minced pork, wonton wrappers, green onions, eggs, cooking wine, ginger, light soy sauce, and salt.

Production process:

1. Chop the green onion, peel and chop the ginger. The finer the chopping, the better. This is especially necessary when feeding it to young children to prevent them from choking when eating.

2. Take a larger bowl, put in minced pork, minced ginger, chopped green onion, and a little cooking wine to remove the fishy smell and enhance the flavor, then add some light soy sauce and a little salt, and then stir well.

3. Cover the meat filling with a layer of plastic wrap so that the wonton filling can easily absorb the flavor. Set aside and marinate for 10 minutes.

4. Let me first introduce the simplest way to make wontons. Take a piece of wonton skin and put it in your hand. Put an appropriate amount of meat filling in it and pinch it tightly with your hands. As shown in the picture above, it is very easy, isn’t it!

5. Now let me introduce a method of making the wonton into a gold ingot shape. Spread the wonton wrapper flat on the chopping board, then pick up the meat filling and roll it up from one side first. After rolling, dip both ends in water as an adhesive, bend both sides and fold them in half, as shown in the picture above.

6. Beat 2 eggs in a bowl, then beat them. Heat the pan and pour in a little cooking oil. Fry the eggs until cooked. Take them out and cut them into egg shreds. We will use it as a side dish for wontons.

7. Now let’s make the soup base for the wonton. Pour a little soy sauce, sesame oil and salt into a bowl and stir until melted. There is no need for too many seasonings. Just these three simple seasonings will make the taste delicious. Of course, if you have broth at home, you can ignore this step.

8. After the water boils, add the wrapped wonton into the pot and cook until it floats to the surface of the water. This takes about 1-2 minutes. You can wrap more and store them in the refrigerator, which is very convenient when you want to eat it.

9. Then pour the cooked wontons along with the soup into the previously prepared soup base, sprinkle with shredded egg and chopped green onions, and the meat wontons are ready.
