How to make puff pastry beef patties

4.. While waiting for the dough to rise, chop the beef slices, carrots, onions, and mince the ginger.

5.. Heat a wok and pour in a little oil. When the oil is hot, add the minced ginger and chopped onion, then add the chopped carrots and stir-fry for half a minute. Finally, add the minced beef and continue to stir-fry for half a minute.

6.. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce (I prefer light flavor, so I didn’t add any salt. You can add more salt according to your taste), stir-fry for about 2 minutes. It doesn’t need to be fully cooked because it needs to be baked before wrapping in the pancake.

7.. After the dough has risen for half an hour, divide the oil dough and puff pastry into small equal pieces according to your preferred size (I divided it into 8 pieces). The next step is to fold the quilt. Take a piece of dough, roll it into a sheet, wrap it in a piece of puff pastry, roll it into a sheet again, roll it up, roll it into a sheet again... Repeat this process several times, and finally roll it up before moving on to the next piece.

8.. After all the rolls are formed, take one and flatten it, roll it into a round skin, scoop in a spoonful of the fried stuffing, seal the top and wrap it, turn it over on the chopping board, gently press it flatter, and use a knife to cut two cuts on the surface of the pancake to prevent it from bursting when frying; brush a layer of olive oil on the pan, put in the beef patties, cover the pan, fry on low heat for 3-5 minutes (depending on the fire and the material of the pan), turn it over and fry for another 3-5 minutes. If you feel it is not cooked, turn it over repeatedly until both sides are golden brown, the fragrance overflows, and the skin is slightly transparent, which means it is fried; serve on a plate and you can start eating.
