Angel Cake Recipe

Remember that your body is your own, so you must control your mouth and spend more time doing it yourself. In order to help you do it more smoothly, I will first introduce the method of making angel food cake.

1.1 Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Add sugar to egg whites and beat at medium speed until large bubbles appear. Then pour in lemon juice and beat at high speed in one direction. During this period, the egg white will gradually expand due to the addition of air, the foam will become smaller, and the egg white will become whiter and thicker. This takes about 5 minutes. When the egg white in the container becomes as white and delicate as cream, and obvious scratches appear when beating, you can turn off the electric egg beater. When a small triangle appears on the egg beater head as shown in the picture, it means that the egg white is ready.

2.2 Wash the raisins and soak them in wine for one hour

3. Sift the low-gluten flour, baking powder, vanilla powder and salt, pour half of it into the beaten egg white, and stir it from the bottom to the top with a rubber spatula. After most of the flour and beaten egg white are mixed, pour the remaining flour and the raisins soaked in wine and continue mixing. Remember: Be gentle! Do not stir in circles, otherwise the flour will produce gluten and affect the taste, and the beaten egg white will shrink.

4. Pour the flour paste into the angel cake pan and smooth the surface with a rubber spatula.

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 30 minutes, then take out and let cool. Demoulding: Use a rubber scraper to gently insert it close to the junction of the cake and the mould, and slowly move it along the mould to separate the cake from the mould. Finally, use the scraper to pry from the bottom to remove the cake intactly.

Although angel food cake is very simple to make, if you have never cooked before and don’t understand it, you might as well ask your elders for help. Under the guidance of your elders, you will definitely be able to do better.
