1. Soak soybeans for 3 hours, wash and cook them in a pressure cooker. Use a fine sieve to filter out the skin. Pour the bean paste water into a flour bag to filter out the water. Squeeze out the water. Only the bean paste will be left. Add sugar to the bean paste and stir-fry evenly in a frying pan to make the bean paste filling. Knead the red bean paste into ping-pong ball size and set aside.

2. Peel the sweet potatoes and steam them until cooked;

3. Wash and dry the rice dumplings leaves, and place them in the steamer;

4. Pour glutinous rice flour and sugar into a large bowl, add sweet potato and mix well;

5. Add appropriate amount of hot water and knead into glutinous rice dough

6. Divide the glutinous rice into equal amounts of small doughs, take a small dough and flatten it, wrap it with a bean paste filling, seal it, and flatten it slightly.

7. Place the dumplings with the seam facing down on the rice leaves, making sure to leave some space between them so they don’t stick together.

8. Put water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Steam the red bean paste glutinous rice cakes on high heat for 15 minutes before serving. Add red dots or dried fruits on the dough.

9. Cut off the excess rice dumplings leaves. Eat it while hot, it’s chewy and sweet!
