How to cut a round eggplant

How to cut a round eggplant

The eggplants we commonly see are oblong in shape. Some are very long and thin, some are short and thick, and there is another kind that is round. This kind of eggplant can also be seen in the market, but how to cut the round eggplant? When we usually stir-fry eggplants, we usually cut them into pieces or strips. The cutting method for round eggplants is the same, but you need to divide the eggplant into two pieces first, with the flat surface facing down, so it is easier to cut.

It may be mainly in the form of elongated eggplants, but I wonder if you are familiar with the round eggplants.

The eggplant can be placed horizontally or vertically. Cut it with the first knife, and turn the eggplant 180 degrees with the next knife. Repeat this process and the eggplant is ready.

Rolling block cutting method

1. Make an oblique cut first.

2. Turn the cut surface upwards.

3. Make a bevel cut at half of the cutting surface (depending on the size of the piece to be cut).

4. Turn the last cut surface upwards.

5. Still make an oblique cut at about halfway point. Just keep flipping through everything like this, and everything will be OK.

Cook until the soup starts to bubble, pour it over the eggplant and sprinkle with pepper.
