How to make red date and brown sugar chiffon cake

2. Add 20 grams of brown sugar to the egg yolk and stir well. Generally, brown sugar will clump together when you bring it home. It is best to use a food processor to grind the brown sugar used for making cakes into brown sugar powder.

3. Add corn oil and milk and mix well.

4. Sift in the low-gluten flour and stir until it is evenly mixed and free of particles. Remove the pits from the red dates and chop them into small pieces for later use.

5. Then beat the egg whites with an electric whisk until they are coarse bubbles.

6. Add 20 grams of brown sugar and continue beating. Add a few drops of white vinegar.

7. Beat until fine foam appears, then add 20 grams of brown sugar. Beat until slight lines appear, then add the last 20 grams of brown sugar and continue beating.

8. Beat until a small bend appears when you lift the whisk and the mixture becomes hard foam.

9. Take one-third of the egg whites and add them to the egg yolk paste and mix well. Then add another one-third and mix well.

10. Finally, pour all the egg yolk paste back into the meringue, cut and mix into cake batter, and finally pour in chopped red dates and mix evenly. Preheat oven to 120 degrees.

11. Mix well and pour into an eight-inch cake mold. Shake it vigorously twice to create large bubbles.

12. Put it into the oven (the lower layer of the three-layer oven) at 100 degrees and bake for 55 minutes. The temperature of my oven is a bit high, so please follow the time and temperature of your own chiffon cake baking.

13. This is what it looks like after baking for 30 minutes.

14. Take out the baked cake, shake it, then immediately turn it upside down and remove it from the mold after it has completely cooled.

15. Demolding is successful, cut into pieces and enjoy.
