How to make a heart-shaped cake at home

8. When the cream on the sides is evenly scraped and the cream exceeds the height of the cake embryo by 1 cm, you can apply the cream on the top.

9. When applying the cream on the top, tilt the nozzle at a 30-degree angle to squeeze the cream.

10. Squeeze the cream back and forth to make straight lines. The thickness of the lines should be uniform and there should be no gaps between them.

11. The advantage of using a flower bag to squeeze cream is that the thickness of the cream is uniform, but the speed will be slower than using a spatula to squeeze cream. When using a flower bag to squeeze cream, the flower mouth should be immersed in the cream to squeeze out cream lines of almost the same thickness.

12. Use a scraper to smooth the cream on the top. When moving the scraper, try to scrape the cream over a large area. Do not stop and pick up the scraper to scrape again. This will make it difficult to smooth the cream.

13. When the cream on the top is basically smoothed, start to refine the sides of the cake. Aim the scraper at a 30-degree angle at the side of the cake, perpendicular to the turntable. Turn the turntable at the 7 o'clock position with one hand, and keep the hand holding the scraper at the 4 o'clock position. Just use a little force.

14. When scraping the corners of the cake, pay attention to scraping the surface from two directions from one starting point (do not scrape at one angle like scraping a round cake) to get a nice corner.

15. When scraping the cake dough with angles, start from a starting point and hold the scraper upside down. The angle when holding it upside down is the same as when holding the scraper normally.

16. When scraping the heart-shaped surface, scrape it half by half, and finish scraping half of the cake in one breath without pausing in between.

17. After smoothing the sides, scrape the top. Tilt the scraper at 30 degrees to the surface and scrape from the edge to the middle of the cake. Divide the cake into equal parts when scraping. The length of each scraping should not exceed 6 cm. This way, a beautiful curve can be scraped out.

18. When scraping, pay attention that the excess cream on the top is always pressed at the angle between the scraper and the cake surface. When scraping the pointed surface, start scraping along the straight line of the corner.

19. Finally, use a little force to flatten the cake surface

20. When scraping the lines on the cake surface, scrape out the lines in one stroke without pausing in the middle. At the beginning, put the scraper in the position as shown in Figure 1. When it is about to scrape the edge of the cake, retract the scraper 1 cm away from the cake. Do not wait until it reaches the edge of the cake, otherwise the side of the cake will feel collapsed.
