How to make cheese bacon rolls

The taste of life lies in enjoying a delicious dish that suits you and having a meal together in harmony with your family. Cheese and bacon bread rolls are a very simple dish, but suitable for home cooking and do not require too much seasoning.

1. You can use the mold or not. The oval mold is 12 cm long, 9.4 cm wide and 4 cm high. This mold is generally used to bake cakes. If you don’t have a mold, it is also okay. The mold is mainly used to shape it and make it look good. It’s not expensive to buy them online. Mine cost 4.5 yuan each. They say they are non-stick, but the effect is not very good. I always apply some oil on them, but they still stick.

2. Separate the eggs first, mix the egg whites with other ingredients except butter, and save the egg yolks for later use. Knead the dough until it is smooth and extensible, add softened butter and continue kneading until large pieces of membrane can be pulled out. Divide the fermented dough into 6 equal parts, each of which is about 70-80 grams, roll into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and relax for 10 minutes, then prepare the whole dough.

3. Roll the dough into a long strip and flatten it with a rolling pin, about 5 cm wide (slightly wider than the bacon slices), then put the bacon and cheese slices on it and roll it up. After rolling it up, use a cutter to cut it in half from the middle, leaving a little at the bottom, not cutting it completely, separate the two sides into two circles and put them into the mold. The cut side can be facing up or down.

5. After it is done, put it in the oven for secondary fermentation. Put a basin of 70-degree hot water underneath and ferment for half an hour (try not to use the oven fermentation function, in my personal experience, hot water is better). Brush the fermented dough with egg liquid. Preheat the oven before brushing with egg liquid. Preheat the upper and lower tubes to 160 degrees for 15 minutes.

6. After the oven is preheated, start baking. Use a baking rack on the top and cover it with tin foil to block it (to prevent the bread from turning yellow before it is baked). Bake at 160 degrees for 25 minutes, then remove the tin foil and bake for about 5 minutes until the surface is golden brown. Turn off the heat and take it out of the oven! The baked bread should be unmolded when the mold is not hot to the touch and let it cool down, otherwise there will be too much moisture inside.

7. If you don’t like cheese and bacon, you can make coconut rolls. The production method is the same, but the difference is the filling. Mix the coconut and butter first to make the filling, then roll the dough into long strips, spread it evenly, roll it up, cut it with a knife, and put it in the mold.

Nutritious and delicious dishes can not only satisfy a person's taste buds, but also bring health. Cheese bacon rolls are simple to make and are also quite nutritious.
