How to make star-shaped white steamed buns

1. Sift the flour and sugar.

2. Soak the dry yeast in warm water.

3. Pour the soaked dry yeast water into the flour little by little, stir the flour with chopsticks while pouring, and beat it into a cotton-like state.

4. After mixing the flour, knead it into a smooth dough. The dry temperature of the dough is suitable when all the powder sticking to the bowl can be kneaded clean.

5. Cover the bowl with a wet towel and let the dough ferment until it doubles in size.

6. Tear open the dough, and you will see that the inside has become a uniform honeycomb shape.

7. Sprinkle some flour on the table and knead the dough again to expel the gas inside.

8. Divide the dough into several pieces.

9. Flatten each piece of dough and press it into shape using a mold.

10. Apply some oil on the steamer and place the prepared small dough pieces on it. Let it sit for another 20 minutes for secondary fermentation.

11. Put the cold water into the steamer, bring to a boil over high heat, then switch to medium heat and steam for 25 minutes. After turning off the heat, simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

12. Shape and serve.
