How to make Sichuan pepper leaf pancakes

Chinese people have always been particular about food. How well one eats is often linked to a person's living standard. We should not deal with three meals a day casually. Some people may find it troublesome and too lazy to cook for themselves. In fact, the method of Sichuan pepper leaf pancake is easy. It only takes a little time to complete it. You may as well give it a try.

1. Prepare a handful of Sichuan pepper leaves (the picture below is for taking photos, only a few Sichuan pepper leaves are used)

2. Pay attention to picking only the pepper leaves (not the stem in the middle of the leaves). The most important thing is that the pepper leaves must be picked one by one. Don't pick them all at once with your hands because there are small thorns on the stem in the middle to avoid pricking your hands.

3. Rinse the pepper leaves with water and drain the water (just rinse them and don’t pinch or squeeze them deliberately)

4. Chop the rinsed pepper leaves into small pieces and put them into a bowl for later use.

5. Use a sieve to sift flour into the bowl with pepper leaves and mix well. Then add salt, five-spice powder and chicken powder and mix well.

6. Then add water and stir until there are no lumps in the flour.

7. The batter should not be too thick after adding water, but slightly thinner.

8. Use a brush to apply a little oil on the electric baking pan.

9. When the temperature is slightly warm, use a spoon to scoop a spoonful of batter into the middle of the electric baking pan, then use a scraper to scrape the batter in the middle clockwise to fill the electric baking pan.

10. If the first one is not done well and is damaged, it is normal because the temperature of the pan is not high enough the first time. The second one will be better than the last one (that is to say, practice makes perfect).

11. Fold the prepared Sichuan pepper pancakes and dip them in mashed garlic water to eat. They are very delicious.
