How to make cartoon steamed buns (little crab)

The taste of life lies in enjoying a delicious dish that suits you and having a meal together in harmony with your family. Cartoon buns (small crabs) are a very simple dish, but suitable for home cooking and do not require too much seasoning.

1. Prepare materials

2. Steam the pumpkin and mash it into a paste. Add sugar while it’s still hot and mix well. Let it cool and set aside!

3. Add yeast and pumpkin puree to the flour and stir with chopsticks!

4. Add an appropriate amount of warm water. Add the water indirectly and don’t pour too much at one time. There is water in the pumpkin puree so be sure to control the amount of water added!

5. Knead the dough, cover it with a lid and place it in a warm place to ferment until it doubles in size! (The dough should not be too firm or too soft)

6. After fermentation, there will be obvious honeycomb

7. Sprinkle appropriate amount of dry flour and knead it into a ball again to release the air! Sprinkle dry flour to prevent stickiness

8. Take an appropriate amount of dough and knead it into long strips, then cut it into small pieces with a knife (the size can be determined by yourself)

9. Knead the small dough to release the air, then use a rolling pin to roll it into an oval-shaped dough sheet (the body of the crab)

10. To make the crab’s feet: Cut 5 noodles into strips and roll them into balls with your hands

11. Place 5 rolled noodles on the oval dough sheet.

12. Fold from top to bottom first, then fold from bottom to top, and the crab's body is ready! The interface can be stuck with water so it won’t be easy to open!

13. Use a knife to cut the crab's claws and it's done. You can use green beans as its eyes. I also made a bow for it. Doesn't it look much cuter?

14. Put it in the steamer to let it rest for 15 minutes (grease the steamer with oil in advance or cover it with a piece of gauze)

15. After the dough has risen, put it in a steamer, cover it and steam it over high heat for 10 minutes. Then simmer for another 3-5 minutes before serving to prevent it from shrinking when it gets cold! (Steam in hot water)
