How to make steamed dumplings with cabbage filling

1. Prepare the ingredients first

2. Wash the carrots and onions, chop them separately, and fry the eggs until they are 80% cooked.

3. Break the cabbage into pieces, wash it, cut it into strips, chop it into small pieces, and put it in a large bowl.

4. Pour the chopped eggs, chopped carrots, chopped green onions and minced ginger into a large bowl.

5. Add pepper, salt, peanut oil, and soy sauce and stir evenly with chopsticks, then squeeze out the water with gauze, and the cabbage vegetarian stuffing is ready.

6. Prepare the dumpling wrappers (you can buy them in real life, but you can also make them yourself if you don’t mind the trouble)

7. Take a dumpling wrapper, place it on your left hand, and put an appropriate amount of filling in the middle.

8. Lift up the dumpling wrapper. The wrapper facing your body should be higher than the wrapper on the opposite side. The wrapper on the opposite side should be lower.

9. Use your right hand to pinch the right end of the dumpling.

10. Use your right thumb to gently push the inner skin (the skin facing the body) vertically outwards.

11. Then use your right index finger to gently pinch the outer skin into wrinkles.

12. Use your right thumb to pinch the folds tightly.

13. Repeat the previous steps to the left side of the dumpling and pinch the two ends to seal

14. The complete crescent-shaped dumplings are ready. Finish making the other dumplings.

15. Put the dumplings into the steamer brushed with oil

16. Put the pot in cold water and steam it over high heat for about 10 minutes

17. The steamed dumplings look a bit crystal clear, like shrimp dumplings.

18. The dumplings are ready, let’s eat them!
