The method of glutinous rice and pineapple rice is something that mothers must know

Glutinous rice (rice can also be used instead), fresh pineapple, rock sugar, almonds, raisins

practice:

1. Soak the glutinous rice in clean water one day in advance, and change the water during the period to keep the glutinous rice fresh and clean;

2. Cut off the top of the fresh pineapple and carefully scoop out the flesh and juice inside with a spoon, being careful not to break it;

3. Drain the glutinous rice, add appropriate amount of pulp and juice, mix well, add 3-4 crystal sugars, appropriate amount of raisins, and fill into the previously dug pineapple;

4. Put the pineapple in a steamer, add cold water, heat it in water, turn to medium heat after the steamer starts to steam, and steam for about 30 minutes until the glutinous rice is fully cooked.

Mix well before eating. You can sprinkle some chopped almonds on it to enhance the taste according to your preference.

The pineapples sold on the market now are divided into two types: with eyes and without eyes.

Pineapples with eyes are those that have black circles arranged in a regular pattern that can be clearly seen after peeling the skin. They are not edible. This kind of pineapple has a golden skin and is slightly smaller in size. Sometimes you can smell the sweet smell of pineapple through the skin. The inner flesh is golden and sweet. This kind of pineapple with eyes is very suitable for making pineapple rice, and the finished product tastes very good.

The so-called "eyeless pineapple" has smaller black eyes under the skin, which can be removed by cutting the skin a little thicker. This type of pineapple has a green skin and is large in size. The flesh inside is very light in color and tastes sour. It is not suitable for making pineapple rice.

When we choose pineapples in the market, we can tell the difference by the skin.

Pineapple rice can also be made with rice, but the taste is slightly worse. You can also mix glutinous rice and rice in a ratio of 4:1;

When the glutinous rice is soaked in advance, there is no need to add water when steaming it. The glutinous rice will absorb the juice overflowing from the pineapple and taste very good.

When digging out the pineapple cup, be sure not to use too much force to break it, and try to leave more flesh around it. Because pineapple becomes very soft after heating, if the pineapple cup is too thin around, it will be easily broken when taking it out;

During the steaming process, the top of the pineapple is most susceptible to heat. When the glutinous rice on the top layer is ripe, you can use chopsticks to turn the glutinous rice on the bottom over to heat it. This cycle can reduce the steaming time and ensure that the glutinous rice is evenly ripe.
