How to make Tremella and Lotus Seed Porridge better?

If you use Tremella and lotus seeds to cook porridge, the taste will be relatively light, but its effect is not simple. It can clear away heat and moisten the lungs, and can relax the irritable body in summer. Its preparation is similar to the steps of cooking porridge, but some other ingredients are added.

1. Prepare the ingredients. The amount of ingredients can be adjusted according to personal preference. If you like lotus seeds, you can put more lotus seeds. If you like white fungus, you can put more white fungus. Use sugar for seasoning, but not too much.

2. Soak the Tremella in warm water, wash it clean, and soak it for a longer time.

3. Chop the white fungus into pieces and put it in a pot to cook. This will allow the gelatin to work better. The white fungus and lotus seed porridge cooked in this way will be very thick even without adding rice or millet, and it will be more nutritious.

4. When cooking lotus seed porridge, it is best to add enough water at one time to avoid affecting the taste of the Tremella and lotus seed porridge. Because it takes a long time to cook, so the amount of water should be sufficient, and try to avoid adding water in the middle.

5. After cooking for two hours, the nutrients of lotus seeds and white fungus will be fully cooked out, and the lotus seeds will melt in your mouth. Add appropriate amount of rock sugar or honey and you can eat it.

Also note that if you like the feeling of chewing white fungus in your mouth, you don't need to chop it into pieces. When cooking, you can boil it over high heat first, and then switch to low heat to simmer slowly. If the water gradually becomes less during the simmering process, you must add boiling water, not cold water. You can eat it hot or cool it down and refrigerate it before eating. It tastes better when eaten cold.
