Is yam the same as Huaishan?

Is yam the same as Huaishan?

Yam is a food that people often eat in daily life, and it is also a food with particularly high nutritional value. Huaishan is also a commonly used ingredient in daily diet. So, is yam the same as yam? In fact, there are certain differences between yam and yam, and the two cannot be confused. Next, I will introduce to you the differences between yam and yam!

1. Origin

We all know the saying "Oranges grown in the south of the Huai River are oranges, while those grown in the north of the Huai River are tangerines." This means that due to different origins, the originally same things may grow into two completely different categories. It can be said that using this metaphor to describe the difference between Huaishan and yam is quite appropriate.

The origin can be said to be the most fundamental reason for the difference between the two. Huaishan is a medicine with extremely high medicinal value. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is called authentic medicinal material, which means it is a medicinal material produced from its place of origin. In my country, the origin of yam is near Jiangsu and Anhui, and only the ones produced there can be called yam. The ones produced in other places are what we commonly call yam, and their medicinal and nutritional value cannot be compared with the real yam.

2. Different functions

Huaishan is a special medicinal material. In health preservation, we regard it more as a medicinal food. As for yam, we regard it more as a kind of food, and I believe many people have eaten ingredients made from yam.

3. Different composition

Compared with ordinary yam, Huaishan contains an additional youthful factor, which is a very important substance for us to maintain vitality. It has a very obvious effect on delaying aging and resisting diseases in our body.

4. Different medicinal values

Yam is mild, sweet and non-toxic. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that yam has many functions such as strengthening the spleen, nourishing the lungs, consolidating the kidneys, and improving the essence. It also has a certain therapeutic effect on symptoms such as lung deficiency cough, spleen deficiency diarrhea, kidney deficiency spermatorrhea, leucorrhea and frequent urination.

Huaishan has very high medicinal value. It has very good therapeutic effects on some common diseases in daily life, such as diabetes, arterial infarction, obesity, and paralysis. In contrast, the medicinal value of yam is much smaller.
