Everyone knows that breakfast is very important, but sometimes, due to work and other reasons, few people make their own breakfast, and more people choose a convenient and fast breakfast. In addition to breakfast preparation, many people also have very irregular breakfast times. Even most office workers choose to have breakfast at nine o'clock. Is this really good? In fact, it is best to eat breakfast between 6 and 7 o'clock.

From the perspective of TCM health preservation, in the morning, we need to replenish yang energy. Breakfast should be mainly cereal-based, and we can add milk, porridge, etc. Of course, no matter which type of person you are, it is not recommended to eat pickled food for breakfast, because pickled food may contain dangerous substances - nitrosamines, which can cause some esophageal and liver diseases.

Chinese breakfast, whether it is porridge with pickles, or soy milk, sesame seed cakes and fried dough sticks, is not nutritionally ideal. If you like to eat porridge, you can add millet or red beans and cook it, but the concentration should not be too dilute. This can increase the amount of protein, minerals and fiber. Side dishes such as pickles are only appetizers, but they contain too much sodium and are of no benefit. You should add meat floss, eggs, preserved eggs, salted duck eggs, or peanuts, dried tofu, etc. to increase protein. If there is still space in the stomach, you can eat more fruit. If you like soy milk, sesame seed buns and fried dough sticks, you can also add eggs, or serve it with leftovers from the previous day, such as fish, meat, or vegetables. It is best to end with fruit.

Of course, breakfast choices can be rich and varied. As long as the three "necessary" principles are met, you can also use your ingenuity to make a simple and nutritious breakfast.

1. Milk + vegetable buns/meat buns + vegetables: Yogurt is rich in lactic acid bacteria, and its contribution to the human body is even greater than that of milk. However, yogurt cannot be consumed on an empty stomach in the morning. It is best eaten with steamed buns, steamed bread, etc. If it is a vegetarian bun such as mushroom and vegetable bun, the nutrition is more complete; if you like to eat meat buns, you must add some vegetables and fruits, or use vegetable juice or fruit juice instead, preferably freshly squeezed.

2. Beauty-enhancing Eight Treasure Porridge: If female white-collar workers have the conditions, they can prepare Eight Treasure Porridge the night before, add rice, red beans, peanuts, wolfberries, etc., and eat it hot the next morning. It is convenient and beauty-enhancing.

3. Milk cereal to lower blood sugar: first mix the cereal with boiling water, then add milk. This combination is more suitable for people with high blood sugar or a family history of diabetes.
