Steamed Milk Tofu

1. Steamed Tofu Method 1

1. Wash the tofu, put it on a plate and heat it in the microwave on high heat for two minutes, take it out, drain the water, and cut into small cubes; cut the green onion into flowers and mince the garlic.

2. Take a deep plate, add salad oil, heat over high heat for 2 minutes, add bean paste and minced garlic, stir-fry until fragrant, then add 50 ml of clear soup, light soy sauce, and sugar, mix well, heat over high heat for 3 minutes, take out, pour on the tofu, sprinkle with chopped green onions, cover and heat over high heat for one minute.

2. Steamed Tofu Method 2

2 blocks of tofu (about 1000 grams), 50 grams of fatty pork, 50 grams of soaked mushrooms, 100 grams of chicken broth, 1 teaspoon of Shaoxing wine, some salt, and half a teaspoon of pepper water.

1. Rinse the tofu, cut it into small thin slices, blanch it in boiling water, and set aside; wash the fatty pork, cut it into thin slices; slice the mushrooms into slices.

2. Place the blanched tofu in a bowl, add fatty pork slices, chicken soup, mushroom slices, salt, Shaoxing wine and pepper water, and steam in a steamer until the tofu is well-seasoned.

Tips: Chicken soup can be replaced with a little chicken powder dissolved in water; put an appropriate amount of peppercorns in a small bowl, pour in an appropriate amount of boiling water, and soak for about 20 minutes to make pepper water; the amount of pepper water used in this dish is very small, please use it as appropriate.

3. Nutritional value of steamed tofu

Tofu tastes sweet and light, and is cool in nature. It enters the spleen, stomach, and large intestine meridians. It is beneficial to the middle qi, harmonizes the spleen and stomach, strengthens the spleen and eliminates dampness, clears the lungs and strengthens the skin, clears away heat and detoxifies, and has the effects of lowering qi and eliminating phlegm.
