How to make candied haws

How to make candied haws

Summer has just passed and the food delivery staff have gradually stopped coming. The fact that so many people order takeout shows how lazy modern people are. Although the weather was very hot recently, we cannot eat takeout every day. The oil and salt content in takeout food is seriously exceeded, which will cause illness in the long run. In order to live longer, you might as well go into the kitchen yourself and learn from me how to make the candied haws dish.

1. Wash and dry the hawthorns, then use a knife to cut a circle on the hawthorns horizontally, with the depth reaching the hawthorn kernels.

2.121Then it is easy to take out the hawthorn kernels.

3.212 Cut the hawthorn horizontally, and use your hands to gently pinch and squeeze the hawthorn kernels.

4.12 Use a knife to dig out the black part at the bottom of the hawthorn. Be as careful as possible not to crack the hawthorn. Make sure it is intact so that you can string it together.

5.21 Use chopsticks to pierce the top of the hawthorn.

6. Remove the top of the hawthorn and gently pull the hawthorn downwards to ensure that the opening of the hawthorn does not expand, as it serves to fix the top and bottom.

7. Then thread the other half of the hawthorn onto the chopsticks.

8. Align the cuts and close them.

9. Use the same method to put on the number of thorns you want. Make sure the thorns at both ends are fixed. If they are too loose, they will fall off easily.

10. Put the white sugar into a non-stick pan.

11. Pour in boiling water, the ratio of sugar to water is 2:1.

12. Cook over medium heat without stirring to prevent uneven melting. You can rotate the pot to allow the sugar to melt evenly.

13. When big bubbles appear in the pot, reduce the heat to low.

14. When the big bubbles turn into dense small bubbles, and the color turns yellow and has a caramel aroma, add a handful of sesame seeds.

15. Stir quickly with a spoon and adjust the fire to the minimum.

16. Hold one end of the hawthorn skewer with chopsticks, quickly roll the hawthorn skewer in the sugar and take it out immediately.

17. Quickly place the candied haws on the pre-laid anti-stick greaseproof paper. Remember to tap them gently when placing them down, so that a beautiful candy piece will be formed at the bottom of each hawthorn.

18. The prepared candied haws should be arranged with some distance between them to prevent the flowing sugar from sticking to each other.

You may not have cooked before, but now that you have read the introduction to making candied haws, you can try it yourself and develop your interest and affection.
