The efficacy and function of radish leaves

Radish leaves are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and other vitamins. In particular, the vitamin C content is more than 4 times that of the rhizomes. Vitamin C can prevent skin aging, prevent the formation of dark spots, and keep the skin white and tender. In addition, vitamin A and vitamin C have antioxidant effects, which can effectively inhibit cancer, prevent aging and arteriosclerosis, etc. In addition to vitamins, the dietary fiber content in white radish is very considerable, especially the plant fiber contained in the leaves is rich. These plant fibers can promote gastrointestinal motility, eliminate constipation, and play a role in detoxification, thereby improving rough skin, acne and other conditions.

Not only do radish roots have endless benefits, its leaves are even more nutritious. Also known as beautiful vegetables in Taiwan, radish leaves contain a lot of beta-carotene. The vitamin A content in every 100 grams of radish leaves is 1400 IU, which is more than three times the 400 IU of the same amount of cauliflower. The calcium content is 210 mg per 300 grams, which is four times the 55 mg of the same amount of spinach. The vitamin C content is more than 10 times that of the same amount of lemon. Vitamin B1 is 60% more than the same amount of fermented black beans; and vitamin B2 is twice that of the same amount of beef. From the above data, we can see that the nutritional value of radish leaves is amazing. Unfortunately, they are rarely used by people and are treated as garbage for the earth to recycle, which fails the good intentions of the Creator.
