Steamed fish recipe

Different fish are suitable for different cooking methods. Some fish are only suitable for frying and will become unpalatable if steamed. But some fish can only be steamed, such as steamed snapper. Many novices may worry that they have never cooked fish before, so they may not be able to do it well. In fact, making steamed snapper is a very simple thing as long as you follow the steps step by step. Here is a complete guide on how to steam the snapper.

Prepare the ingredients:

Remove the gills and scales of the sea bass, carefully clean the belly of the fish, drain the water and set aside. As you can see from the picture below, the back of the sea bass is still quite thick, so it is best to open the back (use a knife to cut the back from the spine of the fish).

Take a small piece of green onion and cut it into green onion shreds or green onion knots, and place them on the bottom of the plate later.

To prepare the sea bass:

Before serving the opened sea bass, apply a little salt on both sides of the fish and marinate for a while. After cutting the ginger, garlic and green pepper, sprinkle them evenly on the fish.

Sea bass into the steamer:

Place the steamer on high heat. When the water is about to boil, turn down or turn off the heat (otherwise the steam will be too strong and hurt your hands) and put the fish in the plate.

Steamed sea bass:

After the sea bass is put into the steamer, turn up the heat, cover the pot and continue steaming for 8-10 minutes. The fish aroma will waft out, which means the fish is cooked. Turn off the heat and simmer for about 3-5 minutes.

For the sauce:

Place the pot on the fire, add a small amount of cooking oil after the pot is heated. After the oil is heated, pour in the soup that fell into the fish plate when the fish was steamed.

6. Pour the sauce:

Add a small amount of chopped green onion, minced garlic and other seasonings into the pot. After the sauce boils, pour in the steamed fish soy sauce, turn off the heat, remove from the pot, and pour it on the steamed sea bass. Just like that, the fragrant steamed sea bass can be served!

Note 1: Fish will have a strong fishy smell when it is cold. The weather is cold now, so all the seasonings are heated.

Note 2: If you are entertaining guests, you can put the fish with the north side facing up (it looks better) and add fresh chopped green onions as a garnish after taking it out of the pot.
