How to make corn and oatmeal steamed buns

1. Mix flour and corn flour evenly (if you like sweet food, you can add sugar. The ratio of corn flour to flour is about 0.7:1. If you like delicate taste, just reduce the amount of corn flour)

2. Put the yeast into warm water, stir well and let it stand for five minutes

3. Pour the yeast water into the flour and stir until it becomes cotton-like

4. Knead into a smooth dough with your hands

5. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to ferment

6. Ferment until it doubles in size

7. Take out the fermented dough, sprinkle a little dry flour on the panel and knead it evenly to release the air.

8. Add corn kernels and knead into the dough (I added a lot)

9. Add oatmeal and continue kneading into the dough

10. Add chopped red dates and knead into the dough

11. Shape into long strips

12. Cut into small pieces and make steamed buns

13. Put all the dough into the oiled steamer, cover with a wet cloth and continue to rise until the volume becomes larger and the feel becomes lighter. Put it into a pot of cold water, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat for 18 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
