How to make homemade braised pork rice

1. Cut the pork with skin (2 fat and 8 lean) into dices by hand and set aside. Wash the yellow/black beans and soak them for 2 hours in advance. Wash and dice the onions, carrots, and kohlrabi. Chop the ginger and garlic cloves and set aside.

2. Heat up an iron pan, add a little oil to grease the pan, pour the diced meat into the pan and stir-fry over medium-low heat until the meat is charred and the fat cubes start to "spit" oil.

3. Add diced kohlrabi and yellow/black beans into the pot, stir-fry over high heat until fragrant, add crushed rock sugar and stir well, sprinkle minced garlic and ginger into the pot, add diced onions and carrots into the pot and stir-fry until soft.

4. Pour half a bowl of soy sauce into the pot and stir well. Pour a small bowl of rice wine and stir fry the ingredients in the pot evenly until they are colored.

5. Add boiling water to the pot as needed, with the amount of water slightly above the surface of the ingredients, turn down the heat, cover and stew.

6. Braising the diced meat until it is flavorful and the soup in the pot is thick (about 20 minutes). Pour 1 spoonful of this onto the steamed white rice and enjoy your delicious mom's homemade braised pork rice.
