How to make brown sugar steamed cake

1. I use the rice cooker's soup spoon to scoop up the flour, two spoons, and sift it twice.

2. Soak the red dates in cold water for a few minutes and then wash them (you can also soak a few more as snacks)

3. Cut the red dates into slices horizontally. Hold one end of the red dates with your left hand and rotate it slowly. Use a knife in your right hand to cut and pick out the dates at the same frequency as your left hand. This way, the date core will be separated.

4. Beat the eggs into a slightly larger container and squeeze in a few drops of lemon juice

5. Beat the egg with an electric whisk at low speed

6. When it becomes foamy, add one third of brown sugar

7. Beat at high speed until it becomes white foam, then add one third of brown sugar

8. Beat at high speed again until lines appear, then add the last third of brown sugar

9. Continue beating at high speed until the egg mixture does not drip off when you lift the whisk.

10. Sift the flour into the egg mixture three or four times, stir fry until evenly mixed.

11. Cut the mixed batter into very fine pieces

12. Pour the batter into a high temperature resistant container. If it is not a non-stick container, apply a thin layer of oil on the inside to facilitate demoulding. Place the red dates slices on the surface.

13. Steam for 40 minutes, turn off the heat when the time is up, and steam for 5 minutes before removing the lid.

14. Take it out and immediately turn it upside down on the rack to cool it down and allow the water vapor to flow out. To speed up the cooling, you can cover it with a wet towel.

15. My little friend was in a hurry to eat it, so I didn’t wait for it to cool down completely and put it out in advance. The edges were a little rough.

16. It didn’t collapse yet, so I cut a piece for the little cat first.
