How to make condensed milk toast (Chinese method)

1. Mix the seeds and ingredients directly into a dough and ferment at room temperature for 3 hours. I refrigerate directly overnight. When it is done, it looks like a honeycomb.

2. Cut the medium seed into small pieces and put into a large bowl, add all the ingredients except butter. mix.

3. Knead the dough until it becomes a long, thick film and add softened butter. Continue kneading until a translucent film can be pulled out.

4. Ferment at room temperature until it is 2.5 times larger. Tap to exhaust and remove. Divide into three portions and roll into balls. Ferment for 15 minutes in between.

5. Roll it into long strips, roll it up from top to bottom, and let it rise for another 5 minutes.

6. Roll it into long strips again, roll it up and put it into the mold. Put it in the oven and put a bowl of boiling water in the oven to increase the temperature and humidity. Ferment until 90% full.

7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for about ten minutes. Cover with tin foil until it turns brown. Bake for about 40 minutes total. Once cooked, remove from the oven and place on a rack to cool.
