Fried Pumpkin Meatballs

Pumpkin is a food we often eat. The nutritional value of pumpkin is relatively high. There are also many delicious foods made with pumpkin, such as fried pumpkin meatballs. Its main ingredients are pumpkin and glutinous rice flour, and some auxiliary ingredients such as white sugar and white sesame seeds. It tastes crispy and sweet. 1. Raw material preparation

Main ingredients: pumpkin, glutinous rice flour, soybean oil

Accessories: white sugar, white sesame

2. Steps

1. Take an appropriate amount of pumpkin, cut it into appropriate size, put it in the microwave to cook it, take the pulp part and mash it into puree in a food processor.

2. Add appropriate amount of glutinous rice flour to the pumpkin figurine and mix into dough.

3. When I was kneading the dough, the pumpkin puree was still very hot. I used this temperature to partially mature the glutinous rice. Be careful not to burn yourself. I used chopsticks to stir the dough. After the dough was kneaded, wait for it to cool naturally until it doesn't stick to your hands. When it doesn't stick to your hands, I live in the north, so I put it directly on the balcony to let it bathe in the north wind, and then proceed to step 4.

4. Divide into 30g dough pieces each, roll them into balls. If your hands are still stained when rolling, apply some oil on your hands, put the balls in sesame seeds and dip them in sesame seeds, put them on the chopping board, and repeat rolling the balls and dipping them in sesame seeds until your dough is used up.

5. Heat up a pan with oil and wait for it to heat up to 70% to 80% (poke a clean, water-free chopstick into the pan until you see small bubbles around it). Slide your meatballs in from the edge of the pan, one at a time, don't throw them in at once, otherwise, you know what will happen. Use low heat and fry them for about 5 minutes. They are ready when they turn brown on the surface.

6. Someone asked why white sugar is useless? I don’t add sugar, because the answer is in the recipe. If you like sweet food, just add sugar to the dough.
