How to make two-color chrysanthemum rolls

The busy life makes many people be careless in their diet, and they deal with their three meals a day casually, but they don’t know that this can easily lead to a sub-healthy state of the body. In fact, the preparation of two-color chrysanthemum rolls is simple and delicious. It is a recommended home-cooked dish that you may as well eat often.

1. Wash the pumpkin, remove the seeds and skin, cut into small pieces, put in a small plate and steam for eight minutes after the water boils.

2. Add 10g of sugar to the steamed pumpkin and mash it with a spoon. After cooling, add half of the yeast and half of the flour, stir until it becomes flocculent, and knead it into a smooth dough. Dissolve the remaining yeast with warm water, pour it into the remaining flour and sugar, stir until it becomes flocculent, and knead it into a smooth dough with your hands. Cover the two doughs with a wet cloth and place them in a warm place to ferment.

3. Ferment until it doubles in size.

4. Knead the two fermented doughs separately to release the air. Sprinkle dry flour on the panel and use a rolling pin to roll them into dough sheets. Roll the four corners outwards into a rectangle with a thickness of about 0.3 cm. Brush a layer of corn oil on the white dough.

5. Cover the yellow dough sheet on the white dough sheet, brush a layer of corn oil on it, and trim the two dough sheets neatly.

6. Roll the dough into a long strip from bottom to top and cut off the irregular ends with a knife.

7. Cut into even pieces of dough. (16 pieces in total)

8. Take two dough pieces, with the cut side facing up, dip the ends of the chopsticks in some water, and gently pinch them in the middle. (Don't pinch them too hard to break them)

9. Use a knife to cut out four petals.

10. Use your hands to slightly lengthen the petals on the side to shape them into a chrysanthemum, and then finish all of them one by one.

11. Let it rise for the second time for half an hour!

12. Put the pot on the stove with cold water, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat and steam for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit for 3 minutes before removing the lid! (My pot is small and can only steam 4 at a time)

13. The flower rolls are plump and soft, and you’ll want to eat them just by looking at them!
