Little Hedgehog Steamed Buns
How to make hedgehog-shaped steamed buns (with pictures and 10 steps). First, put flour in a large bowl and add yeast.

Method
- 01
Step 1
Put the flour in a large bowl and add the yeast.

- 02
Step 2
Prepare whole milk, add sugar, and then add warm water (the water temperature should be comfortable to the touch, not too hot). Then stir constantly.

- 03
Step 3
Pour the stirred milk into the bowl containing the flour and continue stirring until it forms clumps. Add more flour as needed until all the water is absorbed. Then knead the dough by hand. It will be very sticky at first; you can coat your hands with flour to reduce the stickiness.

- 04
Step 4
After kneading until it is not too sticky, cover it with plastic wrap and let it ferment in a warm place 30 minutes.

- 05
Step 5
Alternatively, place the bowl in a pot with hot water underneath, cover the pot, and let it sit 30 minutes.

- 06
Step 6
The dough is ready when it has a honeycomb-like structure, or you can poke it with your finger and it shouldn't spring back.

- 07
Step 7
Knead for another 20 minutes, until the dough is no longer sticky and becomes smooth. Then roll it into a long strip and cut it into small dough balls.

- 08
Step 8
Roll each small dough ball into a teardrop shape to make the hedgehog's body. (I forgot to take pictures, so you can only look at the finished product for now.)

- 09
Step 9
Cut the dough with scissors; you can cut the spikes according to a set pattern or cut them randomly. Decorate its eyes with small pieces of sausage.

- 10
Step 10
Place them in a pot to boil. Brush a layer of cooking oil on the bottom of the steamer to prevent the buns from sticking to the bottom. Steam for 15 minutes. Before boiling, add enough water to avoid having to add water during the boiling process.
