What food is good for nephritis and cold?

If patients with nephritis catch a cold during exercise, they should be more cautious and seek scientific treatment. They should not choose some common cold medicines because they may cause greater impact and damage to the kidneys. It is recommended to drink more water, eat radishes, and limit salt intake.

1. If the kidney function is normal, the choice of medicine can be wider, and most common cold medicines can be taken, but they should not be taken for a long time, and 3-5 days is appropriate;

2. If the kidney function is abnormal, then most cold medicines cannot be taken, such as Ganmaotong, Suxiao Ganmao Capsules, etc.;

3. The key is to drink more water (if you don’t have edema, you can drink more water) and maintain urine volume;

4. Actively prevent and treat bacterial infections (colds are caused by viruses), and use anti-infective drugs if necessary;

5. You can take some medicines to increase your immunity to prevent colds.

6. Eat more radishes

Practice has shown that the carotene in radish has a unique effect in preventing and treating colds. The specific method is to chop the sweet, crisp and juicy radish into pieces, squeeze out half a cup of juice, then mash the ginger, squeeze out a small amount of ginger juice, add it to the radish juice, then add sugar or honey, mix well and pour in boiling water to drink as a beverage, three times a day for two consecutive days, which can clear away heat, detoxify, dispel cold, and prevent colds.

7. Drink with sugar ginger tea

Because colds are mostly caused by external wind and cold, they often cause symptoms such as headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, joint pain, and even fear of cold and fever. You can use appropriate amounts of brown sugar, ginger, and black tea, boil them into soup and drink it 1-2 times a day. It not only warms the body and removes cold, but also has good prevention and treatment functions for colds.

8. Eat less salt

Experiments have shown that eating less sodium-containing salt can increase the lysozyme content in saliva, protect the epithelial cells of the oral and throat mucosa, and allow them to secrete more immunoglobulin A and interferon to fight the cold virus. Therefore, controlling daily salt intake to less than 5 grams is very beneficial for preventing and treating colds.
