Lingbao City is a city in the western part of Henan Province. 1. Zenggao Zenggao is a local snack in Lingbao. According to legend, it was introduced from Shaanxi hundreds of years ago. Zeng is a kind of cake with small holes at the bottom, so Zeng cake is also called Jingao. It is said that the steamer was produced in the late primitive society. In the Neolithic Age, there were pottery steamers. In the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, they developed into bronze steamers. After the emergence of iron tools, they became iron steamers. In recent years, there are also steamers made of welded tin leaves. The quality of food steamed in a ceramic steamer is the best.

2. Fatty sesame cake Fatty sesame cake, also known as fat-oil cake, is a famous delicacy in Lingbao. It is oblate in shape, with spiral patterns overlapping each other, and has a bright brown appearance. When bitten open, it has distinct layers, each as thin as paper, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a rich aroma. The production process of fat coal cakes is exquisite, and the main raw materials are flour, pork fat, cottonseed oil, salt, alkaline flour, etc. There are two ways to eat it. One is to let the chef squeeze and shake it. In the blink of an eye, a plate will be filled with the pancake, which is fluffy, in strips and slices, and can be eaten with chopsticks. The other is to keep the cake as it is. Each food has its own flavor.

3. Stone steamed bun, also known as stone sesame cake. It gets its name from the fact that it is cooked on the griddle using bean stones as the base. It has a long history and unique production methods. It is a unique food in Lingbao. The main raw materials are: flour, lard, lard (vegetable oil), salt, aniseed, pepper, onion, etc. The appearance of the stone sesame cake is bright brown, with a concave center and protruding edges, just like a small oval golden basin. When you bite it open, the layers are distinct, the outside is crispy and the inside is soft, salty and delicious, and can be stored for a long time.

4. Lingbao Jujube Lingbao Jujube is one of Lingbao’s three famous treasures (jujube, apple and gold). It has a cultivation history of more than 400 years and is concentrated in the sandy loam area along the Yellow River in Lingbao City. The main variety is round dates, also known as lump dates. The fruits are large, mostly short cylindrical, with a single fruit weighing about 25 grams, and the largest reaching 33 grams. The fruit skin is dark red, the flesh is thick and the core is small. It is tough and has little juice. It tastes sweet, the flesh is soft, the flavor is good, it has a fresh fragrance, and the sugar content is high. It is suitable for making dried dates and sour dates.

5. Guifei Apricot Guifei Apricot is produced in the sandy area along the Yellow River in Lingbao City. According to legend, Yang Yuhuan, a noble concubine in the Tang Dynasty, lived in Lingbao when she was young. Her face was white but not tender, her skin was delicate but not smooth, and she was not very good-looking. There was an apricot tree in her yard, which bore large, yellow, and especially sweet apricots. Yuhuan ate them every year, and when she grew up she became as fair-skinned and as pretty as a flower. So after Yang Yuhuan entered the palace and was canonized as a noble concubine, people began to call this kind of apricot "Noble Concubine Apricot".

6. Yanlian Yanlian is one of the main specialties of Lingbao City. It is named after the area around the former Yanxiang County. This lotus root has a great color, fragrance and taste and has a history of hundreds of years. Its main characteristics are fine and white meat, very few lotus fibers, crisp and juicy texture, sweet and fragrant taste, and very refreshing. There is a big difference between the lotus root that is broken but still connected and the common lotus root that is broken but still connected. This kind of lotus root usually has nine holes, two more than the usual ones, and is also called "nine-hole lotus."

7. Lingbao String Pepper String pepper is mainly produced in Louxia Village, Yinzhuang Town, Lingbao City. It has the reputation of "half the county is spicy" in ancient times and has a history of more than 200 years. String peppers are brightly colored, bright red, very spicy, oily, have thick flesh, and are uniform in size. The spiciness contains protein, fat, and minerals. String peppers are mainly used as a seasoning. Because the fruit is as small as a thread and the skin becomes wrinkled after drying, it is known as "Henan wrinkled pepper" in the international market, with an annual export volume of up to 30,000 kilograms.

8. Jueshan Onion Jueshan Onion, also known as "whip onion", is produced in Zhaoshan Village, Yinzhuang Town, Lingbao. It has long and thick stems, which are generally more than 26 cm long and up to 40 cm long. The scallion whites are fine in texture, have a strong onion aroma, and taste spicy with a hint of sweetness. The Jueshan onion is not only a delicious condiment, but also can be used as medicine to treat diseases, and its efficacy is better than other onions. The onion was once supplied to the Hong Kong market and was well received.

9. Dadao Noodles Dadao Noodles is the most popular snack in Lingbao City, with a history of more than 200 years. The knife for cutting noodles is 3 feet long and 5 inches wide, quite like a guillotine. The noodles are rolled into a thin dough sheet more than one foot wide, folded into more than ten layers, and cut into noodles with the knife. Due to the different nine methods, broadsword noodles are divided into four varieties: thin noodles, which are as thin as hanging noodles; curtain noodles, which are as thick as curtain noodles; wide noodles, which are as wide as leeks (mostly made into non-dried noodles); and flashing noodles, which are as wide as two leek leaves. When cutting noodles, one solid cut and one flashing cut are used to make a wide cut, hence the name flashing noodles. Usually thin noodles and curtain noodles are sold in the morning, and wide noodles are sold at noon. The seasoning is mainly sour and spicy, and the noodles and side dishes may change according to the season. Lingbao's three treasures: apple gold and jujube, and Lingbao's mutton soup is quite famous! Spicy soup, sesame cake with meat, jelly, cold noodles!

10. Lingbao mutton soup is a specialty food of Lingbao City, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province.
