How to make milk caramel sandwich cookies

3. The prepared milk caramel sauce can be eaten directly or used as a baking ingredient, such as this cookie.

4. Mix the flour, baking soda and salt.

5.1 Add the milk caramel sauce and beat until it expands and looks light.

6.2 Beat the butter with a whisk until smooth, add the two sugars and beat until evenly combined.

7. Add eggs and beat for one minute.

8. Add the dry powder mixture in step 4 and mix well. Do not over-mix to avoid gluten formation.

9. Scoop the batter onto a baking tray lined with baking paper or tin foil, 1 teaspoon each. This cookie has a larger spread, so there should be at least 5 cm between the cookies.

10. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and bake on the middle layer for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Once completely cool, spread with extra dulce de leche filling to create sandwich cookies.

11. Or you can eat it as is - I used a cookie cutter to cut out flower shapes, and it looks a bit like a small sponge cake.
