How to make alfalfa dumplings

Alfalfa, many friends may feel unfamiliar when hearing this term, but in some parts of our country, alfalfa has been eaten as a dish. When we eat alfalfa as a vegetable, we usually eat its tender stems and leaves. This plant is rich in calcium and vitamins, which are good for the human body. In many places, alfalfa is made into vegetable dumplings for consumption, which is said to be delicious. The following is a method of making alfalfa vegetable dumplings for your reference:

  1. Pick the edible part of alfalfa, clean it and set aside.

  2. Why do we use salt to pickle alfalfa? Here I want to remind you that we are not going to eat it after pickling it, but to filter out its juice.

  3. Add flour to the vegetable juice and stir it into a paste with the help of chopsticks or other tools. Add the washed alfalfa and stir evenly. During the stirring process, if the citrus is relatively dry, you can add some egg white.

  4. Roll the mixed alfalfa into ping-pong sized balls and place them in the steamer at intervals.

  5. Boil water in a pot and steam it for eight minutes.

  6. While the vegetable balls are being steamed, you can prepare the sauce. Chop the garlic into small pieces and put them in a small bowl. Add a little chili powder and white sesame seeds. Heat the oil in a pan until it is 80% hot and pour in the mashed garlic in the small bowl. Then add vinegar and light soy sauce and a few drops of sesame oil. The fragrant dipping sauce is ready. Now just enjoy the deliciousness of the alfalfa vegetable balls.
