Oil-fried shortbread steamed buns are one of my favorite delicacies. As a foodie, I always hope to have good cooking skills. After years of dedicated research, I finally learned how to make oil-fried shortbread steamed buns. Below I will share with you the method of making fried dough sticks in the oven. I hope that you can all become beautiful ladies like me who are both capable of being a lady in the living room and a good cook.

1. Pour flour and water into a bowl and stir

3. Apply a layer of oil on the electric baking pan and preheat for 5 minutes

4. Take out the dough and knead it vigorously

5. Knead into a large dough

6. Pull a small piece of dough and continue kneading

7. Press it into a round cake, not too thick, nor too thin.

8. Put the pancake on the electric baking pan, apply some oil and press the thick pancake button to start working.

9. After about 6 minutes, when the electric baking pan prompts to open, turn the pancake over and continue baking.

10. It is cooked now, both sides are browned

Ingredients

Flour 500; yeast as needed; water as needed; salt as needed; oil 300; flour 200; 2. Steps for making crispy fire cake

1. Step 1: Heat the pan, pour in the oil, turn off the heat after the oil boils, sprinkle the flour evenly into the oil, stir with chopsticks, and the oil shortbread becomes a paste (need to cool before use);

2. Step 2: Let the dough rise normally. The hardness of the dough should be similar to that of the steamed bun dough, not too hard.

3. Step 3: You don’t need to wait for the dough to fully ferment. Just let it rest for 20 minutes. Roll the dough into a large pancake, sprinkle salt evenly (add more pepper if you like it), and evenly spread the oil on it.

4. Step 4: Roll up the dough and cut it into sections (depending on the size of the final fire-baked dough). Press the cut side upwards and then roll it into a rectangle. Fold the rectangle into three parts, then roll it open again and fold it into three parts again. This is the final shape of the fire-baked dough.

5. Step 5: Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the fire-baked buns on the baking tray, cover with a cloth and let rise for 1 hour (you can clearly see the fire-baked buns expand)
